Need ideas for my art project, please help?

How about moths in a light shade thumping against it -- you know, the way they do in early summer when there are TOO many of them? They can't seem to find their way out though they're free to fly away any time. But their attraction to the light imprisons them. You could show the sound by having one or three make a little impression on the cloth lamp shade as they bump into it. (I say one or three because it should be an odd number.)
