Can other charges be dropped if unlawfully arrested / false imprisonment.?

The officer had probable cause to search you. You were accused of shoplifting, so it's reasonable that the officer would search you for other merchandise that might be stolen. I don't think the charges will be dismissed, but you might have a shot. You should really consult with a lawyer on this one.
