IP address tracking! Legal Studies assignment!!?

There is no possible method of "tracking" an IP address. In fact, I would never allow an IP address to be held accountable for anything. The reason being, a brain dead monkey can spoof an IP address in 2 minutes. I don't know the laws Australia (your asking on the US boards, and in the security section. This question would be better placed on the law board of Yahoo Answers Australia), but seeing as if I go an download or share anything on the internet I can see who else is downloading and sharing the files, you are getting publicly available information. So technically, no one is "tracking" your IP address. They simply see it. Also, do your own homework.
